There is a good chance the Sand Martin...Hi Richard

There is a good chance the Sand Martin control was ringed by us in spring this year or previous years. I am not aware of any ringing being done on the Parque other than us. If you let me have the ring number I will check it out with the team member who inputs the data. The location of the Parque is west and slightly north of Vilamoura harbour see link attached http://www.walkalgarve.com/bird-watching-algarve/vilamoura-algarve-reedbeds-birding-site-vilamoura-bird-watching-birds The two rectangular ponds together is the sewage works. at the cross-roads of the green line just south of the ponds is where the ringing station is. We have nets all around in marsh, scrub around areas of water and grassland, also swallow roosts which of course attracts the Sand Martins as well.Charlie Sargenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04069045876342436289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1487571364708577347.post-55224513717370436852016-09-24T13:15:34.772+01:002016-09-24T13:15:34.772+01:00The Vilamoura ringing site isn't by any chance...The Vilamoura ringing site isn't by any chance in behind the harbour or somewhere close by? I had a nice Sand Martin control from there this year and looking at google maps, it looks like a nice site - although I could be half a kilometre out.
