How the temperature can change within a week.

Today was very cold when we got up at 04.30am. The wind was coming from the North and bird activity was noticeably much reduced. We are not sure how this figures with the pattern of migration, but, in previous years at Nesseby on the north side of the Varanguer Fjord migration has always been active at this time. We have noticed on one or two occasions that the birds were heading north instead of south which seems strange. Maybe they were heading north and then going over to the western coast of Norway before travelling south


This is the second Red Fox I have seen, it came very close and enabled these pictures to be taken by Hannah the campsite owner.
